The bout between featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez and perennial contender Ricardo “Rocky” Juarez is back on after the initial date of Sept. 15 had to be scrapped due to a hand injury to Marquez.
While initially a Golden Boy Production PPV that would have been distributed by HBO PPV, the bout will now take place on Showtime and is tentatively scheduled for November 3rd.
The news is a relief to many die hard fans who were contemplating selling a kidney to finance the increased cable bills due to a upcoming streak of high profile PPV.
IBF featherweight title holder Robert Guerrero will face Martin Honorio in the opening televised bout. Guerrero and Honorio were originally scheduled to fight on the undercard of the Sept. 15 PPV.
